The Colorado Chautauqua Association

Trailhead Signage

Founded in the late 1800s, the Colorado Chautauqua in Boulder, Colorado is one of only three remaining chautauquas in the United States. The chautauqua movement united millions across the country in common cultural and educational experiences. The Colorado Chautauqua Association maintains this thriving historic landmark, making the extensive facilities and hiking trails at the Boulder Chautauqua a popular destination for locals and tourists alike. Signage tells the story of the site’s historical significance to long-term repeat visitors as well as first-timers who were unfamiliar with it’s unique history.
